Dear pet owners,

Welcome to my profile! My name is Mariette. Despite being allergic as a child, I've always had dogs around. I grew up with a very kind German Shepherd, and later we had a more challenging German Shepherd/Belgian Shepherd mix. I've always loved dogs and currently share my home with two of my own: a Staffie mix and an elderly American Cocker Spaniel.

I am studying to become a certified BAT trainer (Behavior Adjustment Training). It is a science-based, force-free, dog-led learning technique to help reactive dogs deal with triggers in a calmer way.

If you have a reactive dog (reactive towards other dogs, towards people, or both), then I can help you teach your dog how to feel safe.

What I would like to know about the of the dog/pet

Tell me a little bit about your dog:
- breed (if mixed, then size)
- age
- any health issues
- any behavior challenges
- what he/she really likes
- what he/she dislikes
- how long you've been the dogs guardian
- any food allergies (or other allergies)

If you are interested in training:
- have you already done some sort of formal training (and where/with whom)
- does your dog prefer treats, toys or games
- how much time do you realistically have or are willing to spend on training
- when is the last time your dog has been to the vet for a general health check-up
